Adult Athlete Program

BodyWorks has introduced a sports massage program for all athletes, adults and collegiate, novice or competitive. Take your training and performance to the next level by incorporating sports massage into your routine. Sports massage initiates muscles recovery and limits susceptibility to injury due to the physical strain of ongoing training and limited recovery time. No more excuses; practice and perform better than ever!

Seasonal Maintenance Level

  • (1) 45-Minute Monthly Sports Massage Therapy Session
  • Targeted towards individuals participating in athletic teams, training programs or competitive events at a novice or hobby level looking for a highly effective addition to their training program to maintain sports performance and reduce the chance of injury.

Injury Prevention Level

  • (2) 45-Minute Monthly Sports Massage Therapy Sessions
  • Ideal for individuals participating in year round sports training.
  • Preventative therapy for athletes susceptible to injury due to repetitive motion increased training efforts, high impact sports contact, and/or previous injury.

Program participation requires an automatic payment method. Sessions are each $60 and are billed one time monthly dependent upon the program level selected. Participation in this program requires a 6-month commitment. The program continues month to month thereafter and can be suspended or terminated at any time with reasonable notice to BodyWorks.

*Throughout program participation an athletes needs may increase or decrease depending on activity level and/or injury status. The program may be adjusted up or down accordingly to accommodate the participants needs.

Adult Athlete FAQ

Do I really need sports massage?

The answer to this question varies based upon the individual. In return, we would ask the following questions? Do you find yourself with muscle tightness or soreness due to limited recovery time? Do you notice limited range of motion post activity? Are you engaging in physical activity at least three to seven days a week? Would you prefer to prevent injury? We highly suggest that if the answer to any of the above questions is yes, then there should be consideration to incorporate massage therapy into your routine. If you are competing in events, be that endurance, strength or team events, your performance will greatly improve if you take the time to take care of your muscular structures. Not only are you going to see your performance and recovery improve, but also as you age, you will notice being able to remain competitive and active instead of slowing down or having to eliminate activity all together due to injury or stiffness.

Do I qualify?

At BodyWorks we use the term “athlete” loosely. We consider anyone engaging in a regular fitness routine, athletic program, or team sports to be an athlete. As a matter of fact, if you simply have a physical career and wish to participate in the program we will allow it. There are very few limitations that would keep you from qualifying for the program. Your commitment to your health is our priority. If participating in this program helps you make that commitment to be a better you, then we will allow it!

When can I schedule my appointments?

Sessions may be scheduled anytime during the regular business hours. BodyWorks has developed hours that are intended to accommodate the majority of individuals. We will work with all clients to find times that they are able to receive treatment.
