At BodyWorks, clinical massage therapy refers to the variety of extended massage therapy modalities we have specialized in. Basic massage therapy training includes Swedish massage therapy techniques. However, additional training is required to be able to assist clients beyond basic relaxation.
Clinical massage therapy is often scheduled by individuals experience ongoing discomfort or pain from chronic injuries or conditions. Individuals who have acute injury, such as a recent traumatic event or accident causing temporary discomfort, will also schedule clinical massage therapy to help alleviate discomforts.
