Welcome to BodyWorks Wellness Studio!
Are you an athlete? Do you experience chronic pain? Have you injured yourself and need help to aid in recovery?
If you answered yes, then you are right where you need to be!
Hey there! I’m Leslie, the massage therapist extraordinaire, miracle worker and fixer upper; or at least that’s what my client’s say!
After almost three years in the spa industry, I recognized my love for working with clients that need a little more than relaxation. Don’t get me wrong, I can do a great relaxation massage but I wanted to target my massage therapy work towards those individuals looking for a body wellness program that works; thus BodyWorks was born!
As a massage therapist, I pride myself in continuing to learn therapy techniques that help my clients with specific issues and injuries. A few of the things my clients commonly find problematic are:
- Rotator Cuff Injuries and Shoulder Pain
- Tennis Elbow and Tendonitis
- Hip and Hip Flexor Pain
- Mid and Lower Back Pain
- Hamstring and Quadriceps Pulls
- Sciatic Nerve Pain
- Plantar Fasciitis, Foot and Calf Discomfort
- Other Muscle, Tendon and Ligament Strains and Sprains
Much of my massage therapy techniques also address chronic pain issues including:
- Fibromyalgia and Nerve Pain such as Sciatica and Neuropathy
- Back Pain such as Bulging Disks, Stenosis, and Structural Deformities
- Chronic Headaches and Migraines
- Joint Pain including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis
My goal is to be knowledgeable about multiple massage therapy techniques to help my clients resolve their pain and provide the education and expertise to help them prevent further injury so they can have a body that feels great and performs everyday!
A few of my technique specialties include:
- Deep Tissue Massage
- Sports Massage
- Myofascial Release
- Trigger Point Therapy
- NeuroSomatic Therapy
- NeuroMuscual Therapy
- Sinus and Migraine Release Techniques
A Little Bit About Leslie
I’m an ambitious perfectionist, with a dry sense of humor, who loves to do only things I’m good at. Failing has never been one of my strengths, so I’ve retired the snow skis and the wake board. Though I’ve got a habit for following the latest fitness trends and techniques and getting involved in things like CrossFit, heavy lifting, kickboxing and running half marathons. Not quite crazy enough to run a full, but maybe a triathlon someday!
Team sports are often not my thing, it’s part of that perfectionist, don’t want to let anyone else down, thing; though occasionally you’ll find me playing a nonsense game of sand volleyball or engaging in a golf scramble.
I like to practice what I preach so I seek chiropractic care, get a massage at least every three weeks and stay very up to date on other holistic practices. Western medicine has its place but I tend more towards natural healing options. I strive to be a healthy role model for the kids that are my clients and encourage healthy and happy living all around.
